{ "page": "\x3cp\x3eThis was a fun film to make.  It all began with Jan Haley, a Hillsboro local and my friend. Jan planted the seed to make a documentary about her local post office a few years before we ever started filming. I was living in Hillsboro throughout 2007 in production for \x3cem\x3eIn Place Out of Time\x3c/em\x3e when I received the invitation from Slamdance Film Festival to make a short film for $99.   Jan and I decided to spend a week filming the coming and going at the post office and craft a film from that footage. Hillsboro local and friend, Steve Siegfried, helped us record sound while providing craft and transportation services in the \"Bruce Mobile.\"  Steve also played the harmonica for the soundtrack along with Jim McNeil, Hillsboro resident and guitar player extraordinaire.  I edited the film on the weekends during my month long teaching position at Colorado College and then premiered the film to an audience filled with laughter at the Hillsboro community center in December 2007.\x3c/p\x3e \x3cp\x3e \x3c/p\x3e", "type": "statements" }
